A lovely morning connecting with like minded people, swapping stories about how we have helped people in our communities to feel safer and happier

Who knows about The Blue Lamp Trust? Today I went to the Health on the Highstreet event organised by Odiham and Old Basing Health Centres and met this lovely man who told me all about it. They are a group of retired policeman and fireman and are doing safety checks and helping with locks and security for free for anyone who is over 66, or a victim of crime or domestic violence. This means that they will change or improve your locks, sort out your smoke alarms and test your electrical equipment for free.

They are working all over Hampshire and the Isle of Wight so if you have friends or relatives that they could help, pass the message on.

There are a lot of people out there doing a lot of good things and these guys are definitely the good guys.

I went along to find out what is happening in this area and to see what could benefit our clients. It turned into a lovely morning connecting with like minded people and swapping stories about how we have helped people in our communities to feel safer and happier.
