Acts of kindness from our clients this week

This week we have received many acts of kindness from our clients. One of our decluttering clients announced it was too hot to do any work and would rather that her helper sit and have a chat with her instead. She said she would benefit just as much from having some lovely company.

One client tried to ply me with cold drinks from her fridge that she had in for the grandchildren!

Another cancelled their helper saying it was definitely too hot to work.

We had some lovely feedback from the daughter of our gentleman who passed away recently, she said, “Thank you for all you did for my Dad. You made his last few weeks very enjoyable”.

But best of all we had a client who had saved the football cards collection book for the son of her helper! She hasn’t met the son, she has just heard about him and she had kept the book to give to the helper for her son. How lovely! And here he is being so happy with his collection book.

Some people love to talk about their families and also love to hear the stories from their helpers about their children. As we all chat, we get to know each other and long lasting friendships are formed.

Hook Home Help is now a team of ten women who are out and about looking after people, making friends and making life easier in many different ways.
