“You did so much this morning. When I went upstairs, the bed was made, everywhere else clean and tody etc etc. A nice cup of tea and a very tasty cake!! You always boost my spirits. Thank you for everything you do for us”

This is a lovely review from a client who we have been supporting for about a year. Teresa joined the team at the start of 2026 and has been looking after this lovely couple through all the ups and downs that they have been through this year. They both seem decades younger than their real age. Such lovely people with such a lovely family and Teresa has become part of the family.

We have celebrated birthdays and happy times and also we have seen them through falls and illnesses. Here we do traditional home help like changing the bed and cleaning but also clearing out and cleaning the fridge, going to Tesco when supplies run low, collecting prescriptions, making tea and being a listening ear. 

I met Teresa through a very kind mutual friend called Laura. Teresa and her daughter had started writing letters to Laura’s mum during the lockdown knowing that was elderly, vulnerable and isolated. At the end of the lockdowns this act of kindness developed into a real life friendship between all generations.Although Laura’s mother has now passed away they are still firm friends. 

Laura introduced us knowing that Teresa’s natural kindness made her a perfect fit for Hook Home Help. 

Teresa is always cheerful and chatty and puts her heart and soul into everything. She is so kind and reliable and ready to help out wherever she is needed.
