Hook Home Help is helping people in and around the home, in and around Hook

Hannah came to me a while ago to ask if she could have a summer job. We haven’t had any summer cover before but she has been an absolute gift to Hook Home Help. She went to school with my son and she joined the team after all his friends wrote me good references for her. Now every time I see them, they ask after her. I love the closeness of our local community. They may have lost touch but they are all invested in each other’s stories. 

So first she came along to shadow me and see what we do and meet some clients. Since then she has covered for me and other people over the summer. When I went back in, everyone was giving me glowing reviews about how wonderful she is and how hard she works. 

I feel like she gave us something we didn’t know we needed! Last year we had a crazy time juggling everyone’s holidays and family commitments. This year we had a very special person who solved all the problems. 

Hook Home Help is about supporting the helpers as well as the clients. It is my dream to run a business where people can still prioritise their family and their own wellbeing. A place where people can be happy to come to work, knowing that they can take time off when they need it, for holidays, illness or whatever the reason. Hannah has helped to facilitate this. She has connected with all her clients and they all spoke so highly of her. She has formed friendships with everyone she has worked with. She will be leaving us to go back to university soon but hopefully will return in the holidays. We have all enjoyed having her around and will miss her when she is gone.
